These Terms & Conditions (“Terms”) apply to your use of milestonemedical.ai and to the text message (SMS) and email programs operated by MilestoneMedical LLC (“MilestoneMedical,” “we,” “us”). By using this website or opting in to receive messages, you agree to these Terms and to our Privacy Policy.

1. SMS messaging program terms

Program name: MilestoneMedical Patient Messaging

Program description: MilestoneMedical provides a patient communication service to healthcare practices. Through this program, patients who have opted in with their practice receive text messages on the practice’s behalf, such as appointment scheduling, appointment reminders, follow-up after a visit, and responses to their questions or requests.

  • Opt-in: You receive text messages only after you opt in with your healthcare practice, for example by checking a consent box on an intake, appointment or website form, or by texting a keyword to the practice’s number. Consent to receive text messages is not a condition of receiving care or purchasing any goods or services.
  • Message frequency varies based on your appointments and interactions with your practice.
  • Message and data rates may apply. Check your mobile plan for details.
  • Opt-out: You can cancel at any time. Reply STOP to any message. You will receive one final message confirming that you have been unsubscribed, and you will receive no further text messages unless you opt in again. To rejoin, reply START.
  • Help: Reply HELP to any message for assistance, call us at 844.540.2370, or contact your practice directly.
  • Carriers are not liable for delayed or undelivered messages.
  • Privacy: Your information is handled as described in our Privacy Policy. No mobile information will be shared with third parties or affiliates for marketing or promotional purposes.

Text messages are not monitored around the clock and are not for emergencies. If you have a medical emergency, call 911. Do not use text messages for urgent medical questions; contact your practice directly.

You agree to tell your practice if you change or deactivate the mobile number you used to opt in, so messages are not sent to someone else.

2. Email communications

If you provide your email address to your practice and agree to be contacted, you may receive emails on the practice’s behalf related to your appointments and care. You can unsubscribe at any time using the link in any email or by contacting your practice. Website visitors who request information from MilestoneMedical may receive emails about our service and can unsubscribe the same way.

3. No medical advice

MilestoneMedical is a communication and follow-up service. We do not provide medical advice, diagnosis or treatment. Content on this website and in messages we send is for informational and scheduling purposes only. Always follow the guidance of your healthcare provider.

4. Use of this website

You agree to use this website only for lawful purposes. You may not attempt to interfere with the site’s operation, gain unauthorized access to any system, submit false information, or use the site to send spam or harmful content.

5. Intellectual property

The MilestoneMedical name, logo, website content and design are owned by MilestoneMedical LLC and protected by intellectual property laws. You may not copy, modify or distribute them without our written permission.

6. Services for healthcare practices

Use of the MilestoneMedical service by healthcare practices is governed by a separate written agreement, including a Business Associate Agreement where required by HIPAA. If those agreements conflict with these Terms, those agreements control for that practice.

7. Disclaimers and limitation of liability

This website and our messaging programs are provided “as is” and “as available,” without warranties of any kind. We do not guarantee that messages will be delivered on time or at all, as delivery depends on mobile carriers, email providers and other factors outside our control. To the fullest extent permitted by law, MilestoneMedical will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special or consequential damages arising from your use of this website or our messaging programs.

8. Changes to these Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. The date at the top shows when they last changed. Continuing to use the website or remaining opted in to messages after a change means you accept the updated Terms.

9. Governing law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Florida, without regard to its conflict of law rules.
